ISS Expedition 11 refers to the eleventh long-duration crew that resided aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This expedition began on April 19, 2005, and concluded on October 24, 2005. The two-person crew consisted of Commander Sergei Krikalev from Roscosmos (Russia) and Flight Engineer John Phillips from NASA (United States).During their six-month stay aboard the ISS, the crew conducted various scientific research experiments, maintained station systems, and participated in spacewalks for maintenance purposes. The mission was significant as it marked a transition period for the ISS, with the departure of the first long-duration crew and the arrival of the second. It also continued the continuous human presence on the orbiting laboratory that has been ongoing since November 2000.
