The Fender Japan ST71/ASH WAL is usually only available in Japan, but we're happy to welcome this limited edition Stratocaster to Bax-shop! This exclusive electric guitar has a characteristic '70s styling, featuring a beautifully grained ash body and a large headstock with a bullet-style truss rod. The ST71/ASH WAL is a limited edition Strat that sports a distinctive dark-brown colour, as its body, neck and headstock have a striking Walnut finish.
Fender Japan ST71/ASH WAL: vintage features
Like an original 1971 Stratocaster, this guitar has a solid ash body. Ash is known and loved for its fat bass tones and sparkling trebles, and its gorgeous wood grain is a treat for the eyes, especially underneath the dark stain finish. The Fender Japan ST71-ASH WAL's neck is made of maple and fitted with a 21-fret rosewood fretboard with a 7.25" vintage radius. The neck is bolted onto the body with three screws, and its angle can be easily adjusted using Fender's Micro Tilt control. A '70s-style logo on the headstock completes the picture.
Hardware and pickups
The Fender Japan ST71/ASH's bridge is an exact copy of the tremolo of an original seventies Strat, which means it has a solid tremolo block and solid die-cast block saddles. Similarly, the Schaller F-Key machine heads - you'll recognise them by their diagonally placed screw holes and Fender F logo - closely resemble those that were used in the 1970s. Finally, in order to guarantee that authentic clear Stratocaster sound, the guitar is equipped with three Japanese single-coil pickups. Are you looking for a USA-quality guitar without having to break the bank? Then Fender Japan is the way to go!
